[Elphel-support] problems with the HDD

Hi

I am in the first days with the 353 and i have been recording some
videos the last two days
and the hdd has been working right, but with some issues when camogm
mount the devices.

At first it doesnt recognice the device one each three times... then i
started using elphelvision, the first time i start elphelvision, it
doesn't recognice the hdd,
but then i restart elphelvision and everything works. I managed to
record some videos correctly. Also from camogm when it recognices the
hdd.

After that i tried some strange combinations of fps and resolutions
(in elphelvision) and the mov files become blank...
it creates a lot of mov files without md5 file, and the same size.
also strange md5 files over md5 files... like

1327874552_117892.mov.md5.md5
1327874552_117892.mov.md5.md5.md5

now i cannot record with elphelvision, even sometimes it starts
recording from the very start of the application...

camogm no more detects the hdd. but it lets me to create folders...
then it remains showing "nothing mounted" and nothing behind...
if i use the php file browser i cant see the folder just created... if
i use filezilla ftp i cant see it.
but if i use telnet the folder is there...

It also happens with movies in camogmgui, i can record (the UI changes
to Record and so)
but mov files are created, always with 784 bytes and ogm's with
145bytes, and no signal.

when Streaming the camera works properly.

I tried to format the hdd, following the wiki

i dont know what to do in step 3.

my cat /proc/partitions says:

i followed the wiki without any special commands in step3 and it seems
to work , but im not sure.
how can i chek the disk? ¿why i cannot see some files in the php
browser or filezilla?

the disk doesn seems to be damaged, as i can use it to copy files from
ftp, it seems  to work right.

but all videos are mov files 784 bytes and ogm's 145bytes, and black :(

what do you think?
