[Elphel-support] Fw: Questions for Elphel

Dear Ephel Team, 

We are interested in your CCD camera series. However the sensor used (Kodak KAI-16000 & KAI-11002) is not suitable for our application. We'd like to ask:
  1.. If the Kodak KAI-1003 ( http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/business/ISS/productsummary/Interline/KAI-1003ProductSummary.pdf ) can be used instead. Is there any sensor board compatible with it? Alternatively, KAI-2020 is our second choice. 
  2.. If we were to obtain the KAI-1003 / KAI-2020 board by ourselves which have a base cameralink output option, is it compatible with the interface to Elphel processor board ( 10353 )?
  3.. As the last resort, since we only need only about 2 to 4MP of the 16MP KAI-16000, is it possible to only use the center portion of the sensor (as illustrated in the attached drawing)? Can binning be used to achieve this? 
  4.. Can the camera system runs on 12V / 3.3V ? is there any modification needed? Which part of the system requires the 48V?
