[Elphel-support] how to increase the frame rate?

For this framerate question, can you please all elaborate on what to do
specifically, in terms of:

- limiting the maximum exposure time if auto exposure is on
- setting exposure time manually
- increasing the analog gain?

would these be set by system parameters?

for example, I'm looking at AE_THRESH, VEXPOS and EXPOS, but its
actually not clear to me how these work? are VEXPOS and EXPOS changed by
the auto exposure deamon? are they not? is there a limit to set for
exposure when using auto exposure?
