[Elphel-support] how do I reflash the camera via netboot mode?

Akos,

As you are leaving before we can ship you the replacement, I would
try to suggest you more troubleshooting that you can do yourself.
First of all I would try to make sure that it is actually some bad
connection on the board, not a networking issue. With some systems
we've seen that the computer drops eth0 configuration when it detects
that no active devices are connected to the network port, and does not
restore configuration when the device becomes active (problems with
knetworkmanager). So just a disconnecting and reconnecting (rebooting)
camera is enough to eth0 port to go down and stay in that state. We
also have seen that ping does not go through WiFi. How the camera was
failing - did not boot next time or lost communication during
operation?

So if you'll be able to communicate with the camera again - please run
repetitive ping and try to twist the network cable in the connector
slightly watching if the pings continue to go. If they will stop, that
may indicate some loose contact, most likely in the connector itself -
maybe the pins do not press strongly enough. But before trying to fix
any hardware problems, please make sure that the connection is lost
during operation, not just at the boot time.

Andrey
