[Elphel-support] 10359: cables length and chaining

Hello All,

We're considering the use of Elphel cameras in multiple-sensors setup
within limited volume (a cube with sides less than 1 meter).

We'd like to use 10359 board to combine results from multiple sensors to
single 10353 board. However, we're not sure of some of the following
things:

1) We've got the information from Andrey that max cable length that was
tried is around 12".

In our setup we'll need longer cables - min 16", most likely even longer.
What would be the best way to do it?

2) As we're not limited by FPS, we'd like to use the setup like 10353 +
10359 + 3 * (10359 + 3 * sensor board), i.e. chain multiple 10359 boards
to
get 9 sensors per one 10353 board. We were told that this setup was never
tested and there might be problems due to the lack of power down the
chain.

However, is power issue the only one that is foreseen in this setup? If
yes, would just replacing 3.3V wires in J1 cable connector to 10359 board
with 3.3V from external power source be sufficient?
