I see!

Doron, then you have to see the 2 worlds of "broadcast video
distribution" and "broadcast video creation" as separate entities.

In a common video broadcast pipeline you work with the highest
possible video quality (and datarate) throughout  the entire
production process from the camera to the video editing and finishing.
Only the very last step is a software/hardware that transcodes the
video down to a lower datarate stream which is then aired.

The camera doesn't take care of this last step.

Hope this makes the application clearer.
