Yesterday I was playing around with RTSP over a connection that was
basically to slow (wifi). This resulted in the same behavior for me. So
my first question to you, is it on the same network?

Secondary, another 'issue' I noted as well. Did you fix the framerate of
the camera in some way, or is it running at the maximum speed? Using a
simple URL you can limit the FPS to something reasonable, like 24fps and
could save the day.
