how precisely do you plan to have this direction? You know, it is usually difficult to get precise data from compass alone, compass is a good supplement to inertial measurement system.

I am not look at using it for inertial measurement system, I just want to know where the camera is looking when I take a photo

I've put getting the compass on hold
