[Elphel-support] Installing an external HDD on the model 353

Hi,

I was hoping if you could help us out with setting up an external HDD on our
model 353.

We have a WD 2.5 Scorpio Blue 500 GB HDD that is connected to the camera
through SATA and is powered externally. We also have an onboard CF 8GB card
thats installed that came with the camera. We can seem to get the camera to
identify the storage device, we tried following the steps on this link (
http://wiki.elphel.com/index.php?title=HDD_Format) but it will only identify
hda and hda1 (which are the CF card). Any help would be appreciated.
