David,

You are right, 10353 has only exposing those pins on 30-pin fine-pitch
connector, and they are TTL levels only - complete serial port relies on the
converter on the 10369 board. So USB-to-serial is a simpler solution I think
- to need to tweak the software. Support fro the most popular USB-to-serial
chips is compiled into the kernel, it is easy to add more if needed.
