Dan,

If you have current firmware, you can just go to "System Preferences" from
the camera web interface home page - it will let you change network settings
- both current ones and write the settings to the configuration file
(/etc/conf.d/net.eth0)

With any camera (even with really old firmware) you can edit the
configuration file in the browser at the following address:

http://
<camera-current-IP-address>/admin-bin/editcgi.cgi?file=/etc/conf.d/net.eth0

After manually editing the configuration file it is good (but not required)
to sync the file system (like "Safely remove" on a computer). You can do it
through telnet se3ssion or opening the following URL:

http://<camera-current-IP-address>/phpshell.php?command=sync

Then you need to reboot the camera - either by power cycling or

http://<camera-current-IP-address>/phpshell.php?command=reboot+-f
