[Elphel-support] development with menuconfig

Rock,

if you need to make any changes in the kernel -  you'll need build a
complete image and reflash the camera with it. Copying files would work only
for applications (those that are on r/w partition, i.e. under /usr/bin - not
in the readonly partition - i.e. under /bin)

after menuconfig you'll need to copy the result to the
elphel353/kernelconfig-2.6 (
http://elphel.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/elphel/elphel353-8.0/elphel353/kernelconfig-2.6?view=markup)
- it is used by make
then update the revision number (it will be used in images and tarballs) in
the file
configure-files/elphel_release (
http://elphel.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/elphel/elphel353-8.0/configure-files/elphel_release?view=markup)

. ./init_env # if you did not do it already
./configure
make install
and then reflash the camera with the new image

If you add any new files, it would be nice to update src_list so the source
tarball will be self-sufficient
