Hi Esteban,

yes, you are right - Knoppix-based live DVD is somewhat outdated by now. We
planned to make an (K)Ubuntu-based one, but never finished that.

I can suggest you the following 2 options:

1) install some old network card in you computer and try Live DVD
2) Install the complete SDK (
http://wiki.elphel.com/index.php?title=Elphel_Software_Kit_for_Ubuntu ) -
that should work with Kubuntu 9.045, 9.10 and 10.04. Please tell what
exactly failed when you try to install the SDK (there should be "build.log"
file in the installation directory that you can compress and email us). Or
have you already done that?

Have you tried a magic command
. ./init_env
(in the top installation directory) before running ./netboot? That would fix
2 of the 3 errors above (if you already had built the Axis tools as a part
of the installation script), but you need to have kimage, of course.
