Johannes,

If camera will not boot next time after you did

There should be something else you did not mention. That command does
not write anything in non-volatile memory. Or there is some other
unrelated problem that prevents camera from booting/connecting to the
network when you try it next time after applying those changes.

Low-level reflash is an emergency procedure, we do it only once with
the new cameras and later only if we really screw up the software, but
that is not often. And I would like to understand - what problems make
you reflash cameras that often and how to avoid that. I can even
suppose that it stopped reflashing if the pins on the network
connector got bended and there is no reliable contact anymore.

10369 board could really help to see the problem. We'll think what
will be the most convenient way how to test your camera with the
10369.

I'm sorry - I checked the source archive, but not the image one. It
really has a problem - it is compressed with extra directory info.
We'll fix that, meanwhile you can repair that file yourself. open
console, navigate to the directory with the image353-8.0.7.tar.gz
file(in my case it was ~/download/elphel ), decompress and re-compress
it:
andrey at inspiron:~/download/elphel$ tar zxvf image353-8.0.7.tar.gz
tar: Removing leading `../../' from member names
../../latest80/image353-8.0.7/

This I do not understand - what is the difference between "over PSU"
and "normal LAN cable". PSU is probably power supply unit, but then
where does the "normal LAN cable" go?
