The C-mount is a standard. The adapter you found will work.

However, because of the crop <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_factor> you
will get a smaller field of view and the canon lens will arguably provide a
better quality than a 1/2.5" format equivalent (same FOV but for 1/2.5").

Here's what we usually reply about selecting lenses:

We use the Micron 5 Mpix Sensor in Elphel cameras, format 1/2.5" (7mm
> diagonal) so the lens has to be 1/2" format.

The standard lens we recommend with Elphel cameras is 3Mpix Varifocal lens
