Hi, Andrey,

This time I removed the "sudo" from the front of "netboot", it looks like program ran some but I'm not sure if the camera is OK now.

Hi, Andrey,

Here is a screenshot captured from the EEE Box after a "netboot" command, the command "netboot" stopped with message "line 42: Kimage_1: Permission denied".

Hi Jason,

netboot uses low-level network access, it need superuser privileges. Just before ". ./init_env" do
sudo su
(and enter password)

Also - you do not need to create screenshot from konsole output - in File menu there is "Save output As..." and you can save everything as a text file. You can also copy some text from that "black window" - select with the mouse, than either right-click and select "Copy" or press CNTRL+SHIFT+C (just CNTRL-C will not work there, because in means "abort command")

Andrey

How will I do next? Any idea please let me know, thanks!

Best Regards

Jason,

As I understand you have the current version of the software installed on the computer. Live DVD is based on rather old Knoppix that does not support many new computers, we are now testing the version based on Kubuntu 10.04.

The reflashing scripts in the camera are made to work with Live DVD and the cameras that have old (7.1.x) firmware, but currently there is no way to install 7.1.x after 8.x with Live DVD. I would still recommend you to use the current software (installed on the EEE Box), let us just go step-by-step and see where you are getting problems.

Dear Oleg,

I encounter a problem when I use LiveDVD to reflash my Elphel camera NC353L either with version 8.0.x.x.x or 7.1.x.x.x, the program Netflash always dies at 60% (please see below picture for detail).

The default IP and netmask of local machine are 127.0.01 and 255.0.0.0, is that an issue to the reflashing procedure? If I need to modify the IP, so what is the root password of the Konppix system to allow doing that?

Please give me advices how can I do troubleshooting in reflashing of camera with LiveDVD?

Best Regards
