Diana,

if you update the software from the CVS, it has the bug fixed. The bug
preventing booting camera if no sensor was detected - autocampars.php was
expecting that /var/state/stype will have
ctype="NONE"
when there is no sensor, and was getting just
ctype=NONE

That will allow lighttpd to start, but the sensor will not work anyway.  Did
you modify any firmware or FPGA coe that might prevent sesnor
detection/operation?
